Cosmati per sempre
Cosmati per sempre
A luminous field of horizontal bands—like catalogued fragments of pigment, stone, and time—interrupted by a decisive red “X”. The work reads like a protected surface: an archive placed under rule. In PELLESCURA 1464’s language, the prohibition is not a denial, but a threshold—where color becomes architecture and the act of looking turns deliberate.

Flat Primed Canvas
We work on a carefully primed canvas and apply acrylic directly to the surface. The goal is structural clarity: a perfectly flat surface, a visible canvas feel and a clean impression of the mix of metallic and vintage colors that we discover in the rich history of Cosmati marble mosaics in Italy.
This method emphasizes proportions, edges and respect for the history and culture of Italian Mosaics.
